Cranberry jalapeño cream cheese dip.

I know your mouth is watering just from the title. Well at least mine is. 🤤 fun fact about me I have this odd superpower well from what my husband calls it where I can look at a picture and re-create a meal. I saw this dip in a magazine, and I decided to put my own healthy spin on it. I tried it out on my family yesterday and everyone fell in love. Great for the holidays or even just your backyard barbecue in the summer.

Here's what you need.

2 cups cranberries

1 orange

1 cup sugar

1.5 cups cream cheese

1 cup greek yogurt plain

1-2 jalapeños if you add two jalapeños, it will be a little bit spicer . I only had one and I wish I would've added two. No seeds

Chili powder

Salt

Pepper

1/4 cup green onion

Now let's talk about making it. I recommend making your cranberry sauce and I will show you how to. I'm not sure how it would turn out if you used canned cranberry on top but I'll leave that part up to you.

Here's how I make my cranberry sauce. And a large sauce, pan place your cranberries in the pan squeeze your fresh orange in the pan. If you like a little more, you may do some orange zest with the peel. And please your one cup of water. Bring to a boil once the water is boiling place in your one cup of sugar here's the do you want to make sure that you stay by the pot constantly stirring as the cranberries start to disintegrate. When this happens bring to a low simmer and stir for the next 2 to 3 minutes. Now it's gonna look a little watery. don't worry once it's cooked to your liking I still like to have a little bit of chunk in mine, turn the heat off and place your mixture into a Pyrex pan at this point go ahead and put your cranberry sauce in the refrigerator to cool.

Now let's make the dip. Add your cream cheese and your Greek yogurt together use a hand mixer or a spatula and bring to a nice consistency together.

When chopping your jalapeños, make sure to wear gloves. Make sure to dive them up as fine as possible and add into your mixture as well as your green onion and your spices. When it comes to your spices measure with your heart.😉 we are all different.

Once you're them. Place into a nice bowl spread out evenly now it's time to take your cranberry sauce out of the fridge raider. Spoon cranberry sauce on top of the mixture. You may not need to use all your cranberry sauce, so make sure to save it in a container for later for another meal or for a second round. To garnish the top with more green onions. You may place plastic wrap on top and pop it in the fridge raider until your party is ready.

I served this with grilled French bread. But you may use pita chips or any other chips you enjoy.

I hope this is a hit for you and your family and friends. Please let me know how it goes and feel free to tag me on social media when you make it. @erikahewitt_
